Claire La Secretaire is the home of typewriter love. Here we create bespoke custom painted typewriters to give them a new lease of life, turning them into lovable usable objects again. We make coloured typewriter ribbons to enhance your typing enjoyment, and we have a typing club where people share in the love of letter writing, zine making, and all things typing related.
I started this business 2 years ago and since then have sold pieces to over 150 customers internationally and been featured in Homes and Gardens magazine. I love what I do, and take pride in the care and attention given to each order and I personally correspond with each customer every step of the way to make sure I give them exactly what they want.
Thanks for following my sewing and costuming blog! I love your work!
Thank you! It’s a pleasure following you:)
Hello!
You finding my book made me smile because I have a gigantic love of typewriters :). I do hope it finds you well as you read it and that you even get to chuckle a little bit.
Have a great day!,

You’re welcome!
I awfully want a typewriter awfully badly. I think they’re wonderful instruments made of magical things. 🙂
What a delightful blog and business! So glad you have followed my blog, Oh, the Places We See, because I’m not introduced to your creative business!!! Love the painted typewriters and ribbons and the nostalgia you have created around what can become a new art form. Best wishes for continued success! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com

Thank you, your blog is super cute!
I have to say, I love the idea of refurbished typewriters and zine clubs! It fits right in with my own use of film and old cameras 🙂
